A Northern Ireland Proposal Session
This for me was one of the coolest 60 minutes of my 2019 so far, to be able to witness the moment when Mel turned around & saw Andy down on one knee was amazing. It was a moment of pure unbridled joy & love. Moments like these are such a privilege to be a witness to.
I’ve known Andy since he was a teenager so it made it all even more special, whenever we were planning how it would go down we couldn’t have dreamed it would be this good. We chose an awesome spot on the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland to meet. Heading somewhere beautiful to do something so special is always a good idea.
We’d made up an excuse that I needed a couple for a shoot so Mel just thought she was helping me out that night. We had agreed that once we got to a spot where the light was great, I would give him a wink to let him know it was time. It all went according to plan as you can see & Mel definitely said yes!

I shot this proposal session all with a Sony A7iii & Zeiss 50mm 1.4 except for the last three frames which I used my Zeiss 35mm 1.4 for.
