About Rob Dight
I’m Rob, the photographer and planner behind Epic Love Photography. I began photographing weddings in 2012 and documented my first elopement in Ireland in 2014. Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of couples travel here for private, meaningful elopements that feel calm, personal, and genuinely true to them. My role is simple — to quietly guide the experience so you can be fully present for it.
I’m based on the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland and have spent more than a decade exploring this landscape in every kind of weather and season. That lived experience shapes how I plan, photograph, and care for each couple who trusts me with their day.
If you’re imagining an elopement that feels peaceful, intentional, and deeply personal, you’re in the right place.
Who I Work With
Most of the couples I work with are travelling from the United States and feel drawn to something quieter and more intentional than a traditional wedding. They’re not looking for a performance or a production — they want an experience that feels calm, meaningful, and true to who they are.
Many are planning from thousands of miles away, often visiting Ireland for the first time, and want someone local they can trust to guide the process with care, clarity, and honesty. My role is to make the experience feel simple and supported, so the focus stays where it should — on the two of you and the meaning of the day you’re creating together.

What Couples Usually Worry About
Most couples reach out with a quiet mix of excitement and uncertainty. Planning something meaningful from another country can feel overwhelming at first, especially when you’re not sure how everything will come together when eloping in Ireland.
The questions are often similar — what if the weather changes, what if the timing feels rushed, what if the day becomes more stressful than meaningful. Beneath all of it is usually the same hope: to feel calm, present, and completely yourselves while this moment unfolds.
My role is simply to guide the experience with care and clarity, so those worries soften and the day feels natural, peaceful, and deeply personal from beginning to end.
What It’s Like to Work Together
From the very beginning, the experience is designed to feel calm, personal, and quietly supported. We take time to understand what matters most to you, shaping the day around meaning rather than expectation.
As plans take shape, I guide each step with care — helping with locations, timing, and the small details that allow the day to unfold naturally without pressure or rush.
When your elopement arrives, the focus is simply on being present together in a place that feels right. I document the moments gently as they happen, so what remains afterwards is not just a collection of photographs, but a memory that still feels alive whenever you return to it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’re forever grateful for the memories Rob helped us create.
From the very beginning, his calm guidance and genuine care made the entire experience feel effortless and deeply meaningful. He didn’t just photograph our elopement — he helped shape a day that felt completely true to us.
Looking through our gallery still feels like stepping back into those moments. We couldn’t have imagined a more meaningful way to begin our lives together.
A Little More Personally
Outside of photographing elopements, life is centred around my wife Hannah and our five children, along with our two labradoodles, Teddy and Bonnie. Much of our time is spent outdoors, exploring nature, travelling when we can, and enjoying the simple rhythm of family life.
I’ve always been drawn to stories shaped by imagination and wonder — the kind that make ordinary places feel timeless and meaningful. That same sense of quiet magic is often what draws couples to elope in Ireland, and it’s something I care deeply about protecting in the way each day is experienced and remembered.
Good coffee, New York-style pizza, and a perfectly timed piece of stand-up comedy help keep life balanced along the way.
Begin Your Elopement in Ireland
If you’re dreaming of an elopement in Ireland that feels calm, meaningful, and completely your own, I’d love to hear what you’re imagining.
Every couple and every story is different, and the best place to begin is simply a conversation.
